DIRECTOR’S NOTE
A Tour of the Universe originates with my interest in science. My mother was a biologist, my father a physicist, and my step-father a geneticist. I have always been intimidated by science because it feels remote, incomprehensible. With time I’ve come to love it and to learn that science cannot answer all of our questions about the universe or ourselves. I would like to take you on the tour I took as I was researching and making this film; from the Big Bang to the present, a journey from “pure” science to the stirrings of the human soul and the questions we pose ourselves as sentient beings living on Earth.
